Unlovable Losers

I have in the past confessed to being a Detroit fan but it is actually worse, I am a Detroit Lions fan. OK not a die hard, but I have watched the ineptitude for my whole adult life and said every year, "Sure they were bad last year, but they showed a lot of promise! They'll be better this year." I actually fell for it again, I watched them come out at the beginning of the year and put up amazing offensive stats, start out undefeated and embarrass the Bears on a Monday night. Then the ridiculous hand shake incident happened, the nation began debating about whether or not coach Schwartz was a douche. I at first thought, "OK, so it was a bit of an over reaction, but he's a fiery guy, I like that, so whatever." Well since then I have watched the team implode, and I wonder if that may have been a catalyst. Sure Stafford hurt his finger, but this was not just him playing bad, this was veterans committing stupid penalties shooting themselves in the foot (not literally like Plaxico). I like hard hitters and don't mind a penalty or 2 from unnecessary roughness, I was a fan of the bad boy Pistons. These penalties are just stupid and are losing them games, especially by Suh. Stomping on arms after the play? Pushing a ref? Get control of your team Schwartz. There is too much talent on that roster to miss the playoffs! Especially when the other wild card candidates are all falling apart as well. The Bears are ripe for the picking, having lost their QB and RB. The Falcons just look bad at times, and the Giants are beatable. It's there for the taking! FOCUS!
